Dear colleagues and friends,

On behalf of the organizing committee it is my great honor to welcome you to EDNAP/CODIS and ENFSI DNA Working Group meetings. Lithuanian Police Forensic Science Centre joined DNA Working Group in 2007. After 10 years of being a part of community, we are proud to host the most important European forensic meetings.

EDNAP/CODIS and ENFSI DNA Working Group meetings have become a nice tradition of bringing together people involved in forensic DNA analysis. We are pleased to hold these traditional meetings in which the hottest and most important topics are covered.

Wish you to have a few days of fruitful, employable and enjoyable communication. Hope you will have time to visit Vilnius Old Town, which is included on UNESCO World Heritage List.

Vilnius with its about 550 000 inhabitants is the largest city in Lithuania and is known as one of the oldest university towns in East Europe. The city was founded in 1323 by the Grand Duke of Lithuania Gediminas and Vilnius University in 1579 as Jesuit Academy of Vilnius by king of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania-Stephen Batory.

Looking forward to meeting you in Vilnius on 25-28 April, 2017.

Darius Žvironas,

Head of Lithuanian Police Forensic Science Centre
